Weekend Reading: New Year Edition

New Years Eve “Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

  • Thank you to my friend, Angela, for sharing this link on Facebook: 10 Things Happy People Do Differently by Paula Davis Laack at The Huffington Post. From the article: “Happy people have developed a specific set of strategies over time that causes them to see life differently — a balanced portfolio of skills and emotions.”
  • Sharon at Musings of a Midlife Mom gave her husband the most unique gift for Christmas: A Year of Dates. Christmas may be over, but this would make a romantic gift for Valentine’s Day, and anniversary, or even just because.

Have a great weekend! See you back here next week.

Note: I'm no longer adding new posts to The Family CEO. I am, however, writing at Creating This Life, where we talk about home, books, travel, and other life stuff.

I’m glad you saw the happiness post because it reminded me of the ideas Gretchen Rubin includes in her book. Good stuff to reflect on all year.
