A couple of months ago I reviewed the book To Hell with All That; Loving and Loathing Our Inner Housewife. Not too long after I posted my review I received an email from the author, Caitlin Flanagan, thanking me and offering to send me 10 autographed copies of her book for my friends. I put aside all of my internet stalker fears, emailed her my home address, and told her I’d love to have them to give to members of my book club.
Today the books arrived! The inscription in each book read, “Happy Reading! From Family CEO and Caitlin Flanagan”.
How cool is that?

I believe it. She did the same thing to me too, and I also had the same initial reaction. Probably looking for sisters who do not villify her for her own opinions of motherhood, career and housewifery. I think she is a fabulous woman. I heard her on NPR. She is a very intelligent woman and that is why the feminists love to hate her. I think a lot of people who hate her never read her book, just the reviews.
